about holganic

Originally, a combination of the words holistic and organic, the name represents a healthy approach to living life to our individual best. The three linked circles in the holganic brand represent The biopsychosocial model which is a framework used in medicine and psychology to understand and explain human health and wellness. It takes into account three crucial components that contribute to a person’s overall well-being.

Biological: This component considers the biological or physiological aspects of health and illness. It encompasses factors such as genetics, the functioning of bodily systems (e.g., cardiovascular, nervous, immune), and the presence of any diseases or physical conditions. Biological factors also include genetic predispositions to certain illnesses and how an individual’s body responds to various stressors and pathogens.

Psychological: The psychological aspect of the model focuses on the impact of an individual’s mental and emotional state on their health. This includes factors like stress, coping mechanisms, beliefs, attitudes, and emotions. Psychological factors can significantly influence a person’s susceptibility to illness, as well as their ability to recover from illness or manage chronic conditions.

Social: Social factors encompass the influence of an individual’s social environment on their health. This includes aspects such as socioeconomic status, cultural background, family and social support networks, access to healthcare, education, and community resources. Social determinants of health play a vital role in shaping a person’s overall well-being and access to healthcare services.

Ziggy integrates a variety of techniques, collaborating closely with health experts ranging from experienced yogis and holistic health journeys to medical doctors and mental health professionals. Mentored by Bowie Hahn, LMFT, Ziggy leverages his personal experiences to assist individuals in navigating and improving their lives. Hahn’s “Dual Mindset” framework for understanding personal experience forms the foundation of his practice and our holistic approach. This strategy encourages individuals to transition from a mindset focused on merely surviving to one oriented towards flourishing and health. It conceptualizes the mind as comprising two aspects, symbolized by the concepts of yin and yang, or the metaphorical dark and light wolves, indicating whether one’s behavior originates from a state of distress or a state of well-being.

What is Life Navigation

Life Navigation Facilitation (LNF) is, in part, a resource of information, mentoring, companionship, group, navigation tools, affirmations, meditation, yoga, breathwork, neurofeedback, and healthy life hacks to help center the soul in the here and now. As of today, they’ve not discovered a pill, modality, therapy, or curriculum that addresses all of life’s core issues. Life Navigation Facilitation considers everything from personal family trauma & social anxiety to PTSD stressors, & mostly just the day-to-day stress of living life in today’s crazy world. Life Navigation takes a fresh look at life and helps You develop and create simple, healthy habits that are sustainable.

The first step is becoming present. Of course, if you ask anyone, they would say, “I am present.” And that’s true at some level but we’ve all been in a conversation with a friend or family and missed what was being said or forgot something promised?

As we learn to be in the here and now, we can identify emotions, triggers, or reactive behaviors more clearly. We can look at what makes us become defensive, run from things, get stuck, or whatever else we do, maybe unintentionally, to keep safe. This is accessing the oldest part of the brain (amygdala) which is our fear brain who’s only task is to keep us safe.

As we become more aware of what we are feeling, why, and somatically where we feel it, we can start to ask if these reactions or habits are serving us in healthy or unhealthy ways. Usually we realize that past situations caused us to react to protect ourselves. And in many cases, the old responses to situations don’t serve us any longer. This is where we can reset and come up with new, healthy responses to life.
